The process

How selling your car to Ken works

Four steps, most of them finished in a single day. Here is exactly what happens and what you need to have ready.

Tell Ken about the car

Call, text, or send the quote form. He needs the year, make, model, whether it runs, and the ZIP code where it’s parked.

Get a firm offer

Ken prices the car on its own merits — parts value, scrap weight, current market — and gives you a number that holds.

Pick a pickup time

Same day in most of metro Atlanta. You pick a window that works; the driver calls before heading over.

Sign, hand over keys, get paid

Paperwork signed at the car, cash counted into your hand, then it goes on the truck. Towing is free.

What to have ready

  • The title, if you have it — signed over at pickup, not before. If there’s a lien or no title at all, say so when you first call so Ken can tell you what will work.
  • A photo ID that matches the name on the paperwork.
  • The keys, if they still exist. A missing key is not a dealbreaker — just mention it.
  • Your personal belongings out. Check the glovebox, console, trunk and under the seats. Once it’s gone, it’s gone.
  • Clear access to the car. If it’s boxed in or behind a gate, let Ken know in advance.

Also worth doing: take your license plate off and cancel the insurance once the sale is done.

Straight answers

Questions people actually ask

How much will I get for my car?

It depends on the year, make, model, condition and what the parts and scrap market is paying that week — so anyone who quotes you a flat number before seeing the details is guessing. Give Ken the details and you get a real figure.

Do I have to pay for the tow?

No. Towing is included and it is never deducted from your offer. The number Ken quotes is the number you are handed.

Can I sell without a title?

Sometimes. A clean title in your name is easiest, and Ken also works with cars that have a lien or other proof of ownership such as a bill of sale or current registration. If you have no title, say so on the first call and he’ll tell you honestly whether he can do it.

Does the car need to run?

No. Ken buys cars that don’t start, don’t move, are wrecked, flooded, stripped for parts, or have been sitting for years. It does not need to be driveable and it does not need to pass emissions.

How fast can you pick it up?

Same day is normal across most of metro Atlanta if you call early enough in the day. Ken is open 8AM–9PM seven days a week, including weekends.

How do I get paid?

Cash, in person, at pickup — before the car is loaded onto the truck. No waiting on a check and nothing to deposit.

What if the car isn’t at my house?

That’s fine. Ken picks up from driveways, streets, apartment lots, storage yards, body shops and repair shops. Just make sure whoever controls the property knows the car is being collected.

Do you buy anything besides cars?

Trucks, SUVs, vans and motorcycles too. If you’re not sure, call or text 678-755-0865 and ask.

Know what you’ve got? Get a number.

Two minutes on the phone is usually all it takes. Call or text Ken, or send the details online.
